Krupnik is an ancient Polish liqueur which traces its roots back to the 1300's. As such, it has been a traditional drink in Poland for centuries. Krupnik (pronounced kroop-NEEK), is made of natural wild bee's honey gathered in forests, and exotic spices. It has an outstanding honey-sweet taste and spicy bouquet with a strong, warming effect. Once produced by the famous Baczewski Distillery of Lwow, Poland, Krupnik is produced today according to its original recipe by Starogard Distilleries of Gdansk.

Can you buy this here in the U.S.A.? If yes, where? You can buy in online at such places as WineChateau.com and ShortHillsWine.com. Here's a link: www.shopping.com/xPC-Krupnik-Honey-80-Liqueur-750mlAlso available at Stella's Sports Bar in Chicago: Stella’s Sports Bars—in the space that briefly housed the Empty Bottle in the early 90s—is an interesting hybrid of sports bar, liquor store, and Polish dive. Owner Stella Grace will be happy to help you navigate the bar’s selection of exotic liquors, which are also available for takeout. Try a shot of Old Krupnik honey vodka with an Okocim beer chaser, or Zubrowka bison grass vodka mixed with apple juice. 773-384-0077. If not available at any of your local liquor stores, probably available at some in Chicago.

Krupnik is an ancient Polish liqueur which traces its roots back to the 1300's. As such, it has been a traditional drink in Poland for centuries. Ooops, I am Polish but I didn`t know about it ... Traditional??? hahahaha Certainly we didn`t drink krupnik in high school when we wanted to get stoned... ;D ;D ;D ;D Pure dry crystal clear vodka was more popular... hmmm, again, this info makes me wonder where I have lived for the past 40 years...... ;D ;D ;D ;D I thought it is mead that is made from honey... To my knowledge of a Polishman, krupnik is just a kind of sweetened vodka. The above info is certainly meant for a more successful advertising campaign. Or am I wrong? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krupnik

I'm not a Polish booze expert, so I'll trust your opinion. Krupnik sounds kind of good to me. I may need to try it for research purposes. I'm not eating any sardines first, though.
