That is interesting but German chain supermarkets operating in Poland have always influenced me negatively with their decor. A few years ago there was REAL which looked boring inside, like a communist store from before 1989. Fortunately, it went bankrupt and was sold to a French company. But German LIDL holds strong. They open a new outlet every week somewhere in Poland. There is even one near my place but I try to visit it as rarely as possible because it is so depressing. See pics from another store but the atmosphere is the same. Were they crazy? They probably thought it was elegant but I am not going to do grocery shopping at an undertaker`s!
