Of course, not everybody likes it, some people even hate it. Who exactly? They are mostly single guys without a family who feel terribly lonely or quite the opposite, single guys with big family who always gets too inquisitve about their private matters at the Christmas table. Also, people who lack ideas what to buy their family and friends as a gift. People who feel that sharing a wafer with sb they dislike is forced upon them. People who hate doing the chores before, especially kids. There are hundreds of memes, here a few of them: Tell me, little girl, what are you going to be after this uni of yours? Traditional Eve like every year Class Eve - we had 12 di... different kinds of crisps. Class Eve - what should I do to avoid sharing a wafer with sb I dislike? Class Eve - the falsest event in my life (she says: the same to you, but thinks: you witch). Class Eve - the same to you!!! Family members blab about silly stuff You have no boyfriend? I can introduce you to certain Antek in our village, hardworkingn honest guy.... One day when you mustn`t explode with utter fury hearing your mother-in-law say: this red borsch isn`t too good. Eve! Let the annual theatre begin! Uni student`s Eve

Some of those memes are hilarious! I particularly liked the sharing of a wafer with a disliked person, the one about the barszcz, and the students Wigilia! Loved the picture of the carp!

Some of those memes are hilarious! They aren`t so hilarious to people who dislike Ch. Eve. I also disliked it when a boy coz: I felt that cleaning the home was a waste of time. Parents were terribly busy and agitated till the very end and that spoiled the family atmoshere. Last and biggest problem, sharing a wafer requires saying some wishes - I have always been lousy at it, coz banal wishes sound stupid and inventing sth original is difficult. Today I only say All the best to you and next, next, hahaha.

I felt that cleaning the home was a waste of time. And do you still feel this way? Parents were terribly busy and agitated till the very end and that spoiled the family atmoshere. I don't think your parents are alone with that. Every Polish house I've ever been to in the run-up to Wigilia is the same - stressed parents panicking that they won't have enough time to get everything done. sharing a wafer requires saying some wishes - I have always been lousy at it, coz banal wishes sound stupid and inventing sth original is difficult. This is the bit I find really difficult. It is a nice concept, but I would get stressed waiting for that part as it is so difficult to know what to say, especially when there's a couple of people you might barely know there. I always felt that whatever I said just sounded lame.

And do you still feel this way? I always felt that whatever I said just sounded lame. Nope, today I love it. Exactly. So, feel free to use my method: Best wishes to you, next, next... hahahaha

feel free to use my method: Best wishes to you, next, next... hahahaha That's what I generally do, but I still feel it sounds a bit lame and is a cop-out!

That's what I generally do, but I still feel it sounds a bit lame and is a cop-out! Yes, but it saves a lot of time.
