The Cesar Awards are France's equivalent to the Oscars, but they're mired in controversy this year. Roman Polanski's latest film has received 12 nominations, but many feel the convicted child rapist should not be honoured for his work. There are protests outside the ceremony in Paris. Polanski and his cast and crew have chosen not to attend. One French actress has accused the country of "missing the boat" when it comes to #MeToo. There are others, though, who believe art and crime should be judged independently of one another.

speaking against honouring Roman Polanski. Polański certainly loves to arouse controvercies. Since 1970s. Some people just can`t stop.
