PIS has just introduced the so called Polish Deal or Polish Order which lowers taxes for the poorest and rises them for everybody else. That is why I am calling it Robin Hood style taxation. Besides, the Order is very messy and chaotic and nobody knows how to interpret it.
Let`s read some comments on it:

Successive organizations are appealing: to postpone the Polish Deal
The business community is increasingly criticizing the tax solutions of the Polish Deal. "The mess could have been avoided" - emphasizes one of them. The organizations are also calling for a one-year delay in implementing the rules.
"The problems (with the Polish Government) are the result of a hasty legislative process, inadequate social consultations and an extremely short period of vacatio legis," we read in the statement of the Entrepreneurship Council. It is an organization that brings together the largest business organizations in Poland.
" Such a deep and far-reaching change in the tax system cannot be introduced overnight , without time for appropriate preparations not only on the part of taxpayers, but also the tax administration" - emphasizes the Republic of Poland. And he advises to postpone the reform to January next year.
The Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers also prepared a commentary on changes in taxes. "Even those who were to benefit from the program receive lower salaries than a year ago," we read.
"Before the introduction of the" Polish Deal ", Poland had one of the most complex tax systems in the world. After January 1, 2022, the situation deteriorated further, significantly deteriorated" - ZPP experts believe.
"The tax part of the Polish Order is so complex that in the coming months we can expect further difficulties. The result will be further complication of the system and increasing uncertainty about the correctness of the applied methods of tax settlement" - we also read.
"The chaos related to the implementation of the reform could certainly have been avoided. the organization advises.

Bogusław Chrabota: The fuse under the powder keg is already burning
The Polish Order had a chance of success in several areas. But only as a confluence of several factors. Today we know that these factors will not play together.

About the Polish Order, less than two weeks after the entry into force of its basic solutions, one can say - apart from the observation of chaos that is obvious to all - not much. Will it be, what they expect in the ruling formation, the equivalent of 500+? Will it satisfy the electorate and guarantee adequate support for the right before next year's (which is quite certain) elections? These are the key questions. Today no answer.
"The chaos can be brought under control, regulatory holes can be quickly patched up, new transfers launched," repeat PiS leaders, still convinced that the Polish Deal will strategically give Jarosław Kaczyński another term of office. However, from the perspective of the facts, it is only wishful thinking. There is no possibility of verification. whether the Polish Order is not a powder keg under which the fuse has been lit for a long time.
Personally, I was skeptical about the Polish Deal from the very beginning. In the name of a simple rule: Poland needs economic liberation for its growth, not extensive government intervention. This is the only way to solve our basic problems, trigger the initiative, ensure the innovativeness of the economy or the course for investments.
Nevertheless, the Polish Order had a chance of success in several areas. However - and this should be emphasized - as an element of a confluence of several factors. In order not to complicate the argument too much, I will call it a triad: Polish Order, European funds and sustainable economic growth. But we already know that these factors will not play together.
Starting at the end; instead of sustainable growth, we have rampant inflation. Its effects in the long run are obvious. Financial problems of enterprises; a price-wage spiral, a reduction in consumption and a reduction in investment. It is not better with European funds. Bidding more and more anti-European Solidarna Polska pushes the government into a conflict with the EU on the border of the polexit. The collision course takes us away rather than getting us closer to obtaining the funds we need today. In addition, radical increases in gas and energy (people will only begin to feel them in a moment) will soon blow up the finances of local governments and enterprises. Effect? A wave of social discontent, another rise in prices and galloping high prices. Could this be better illustrated than with a powder keg and fuse metaphor?
With the current course of power, the next weeks and months will bring PiS cisterns of bitterness. I do not know, or rather I doubt that it can be controlled. In order to extend his chances, Jarosław Kaczyński would have to follow the advice of Czesław Bielecki (the text entitled "The Coalition of National Consent" in Rzeczpospolita on Thursday), get rid of the most conflicting politicians from the government, introduce a new, more credible leadership to the NBP, communicate with Brussels and enable stronger mechanisms to combat high prices. Otherwise, the chances of maintaining power are slim. A very difficult and confrontational year is ahead of us.
It is necessary to create a pragmatic coalition for the next two years, which will give a stable majority, while excluding from the future government those politicians who constantly play on internal conflicts and are unable to take on real challenges, writes the journalist.
Finally, a message for the opposition: PiS's election defeat will not solve the problems described above.
