Today in the evening in Warsaw people will light the candles in their windows to mark the sad anniversary....
Anniversary of 1939 Russian attack on Poland 17.09.2009 10:13 Today marks the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Russian invasion of Poland in 1939 when the Red Army practically sealed Poland's fate at the beginning of World War II. The aggression from the east, which followed the German Nazi attack on Poland from the west sixteen days earlier, practically sealed Poland's fate at the beginning of World War II. Soviet Russia attacked Poland at 6am in the morning on the 17 September 1939. Survivors recall that people did not expect it to happen. “We believed the Russians would not attack, that they would keep their word. But sadly, they stabbed us in the back, so to say,” said one survivor.

Goes to show, never trust a German or a Russian, both will turn on you like a snake will. I hope Poland will all ways remember, and never trust either of them ever.

Mike ;D ;D Mike, you never change ;D ;)so whom to trust, Mike ? During the long and complicated European history the Swedes claimed our lands as well, so did the Austrians, the Czechs. So did Ukrainians, Belarusins, Lithuanians. On the other hand Hungarians, Bulgarians, Romanians, Estonians and Latvians and even the French were on the side of Hitler. The Slovaks invaded us together with Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany! Brits and Americans betrayed us badly. The Dutch and Belgians just do what they are told by Germans and the French. The Italians hasd Mussollini! Whom to trust, whom to trust?

Should we trust the USA and remain loyal? What do you think? ;D www.polskieradio.pl/thenews/international/artykul116127_poland_remains_loyal_to_us__despite_anti_missile_snub.htmlPoland remains loyal to US, despite anti-missile snub17.09.2009 16:22 Poland still remains loyal to the US, despite Washington’s decision to ditch the anti-missile plan, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said, Thursday. Commenting on the negative conclusion of President Obama’s 60-day review of the anti-missile system – originally agreed between the former Bush administration and Warsaw in August last year – PM Tusk said that “It was an autonomous decision taken by President Barack Obama,” and did not involve his government. President Barack Obama said Thursday afternoon, European time, that his administration had new “smarter” plans for a European defence system. "Our new missile defense architecture in Europe [will be] smarter, safer, and swifter," he said. The disppointment of many in Warsaw and Prague is palpable at the scrapping of the plans. Despite that, PM Tusk tried to salvage some pride for Poland. “There is still a strong chance that Poland will work closely with the United States on security matters,” he told reporters. “It is not our job to interpret or analyze or criticize this decision, rather, we must be concerned only with Polish security.” “Poland is still a credible partner for the United States.” Tusk said that the American decision to scrap the anti-missile defense shield is not a defeat for Poland. There is still a chance to gain an ‘exclusive’ position in relations with the US as a “local” partner in the region. When asked why President Obama had managed to contact the Czech prime minister to tell him of the decision last night, but not Tusk, Poland’s PM denied, as had been previously reported that there were technical difficulties on the line between Warsaw and Washington. Tusk said did not want to speak with President Obama during the night because he wanted to “properly prepare for the discussion”. Moscow welcomes new Meanwhile, NATO’s new secretary-general, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, is holding un-scheduled talks with Moscow’s envoy Dmitry Rogozin in Brussels to discuss the latest developments, according to the RIA Novosti news agency. Rasmussen will also be meeting with Russian foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov in New York on September 24. Russia will welcome the news of the cancellation of the anti-missile plan, first agreed between the Bush administration and Warsaw in August last year. The Kremlin saw the system as an aggression against Russia and not a defensive technology against “rogue states” such as Iran or North Korea. (pg/mnj)

Today, you can't even trust family. With our today, leaders, they do what they want, not what the people want, and they don't care. No one, cares for anyone, any more.

Nice song. What do you all think of Roosevelt and what he did to Poland, after the war? Was he wrong? Mike Roosevelt stinks.
