The boy, even his being young, could have killed them other ways, like drive over them in the car, and many other ways. I guess the father was not done teaching him gun safety. Mike Just my opinion, but I don't see why an eight year-old needs to have access to a loaded firearm, whether he/she knows "gun safety" or not.

To all,
You will some day wish you had a gun when they come to take them away. We have a right to bear arms. If the Polish people had more guns, when WW II started, who know what could have happen. I will give them mine when they take if from my cold dead hands. Next thing you will say, is police don't need them either. I stand for choice, if you want, and you can, have a gun, you should have one, or more, like in my case.

Here's another sad story that took place in my state about two weeks ago. A young boy (8 or so) was at a gun show with his father (a doctor). He was given the opportunity to fire an automatic weapon at a target under the close instruction of a gun expert. His father was standing close behind him. The child fired the gun at the target, and then unfortunately, the kickback from the gun sent him backward and the gun fired at an upward angle, striking the child in the head and killing him. This all happened under close supervision...
Is there any safe way for children to handle guns??? I think not.

Everyday children are hurt and killed by accidents, don't blame this on guns, just poor judge met on the part of the father. GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE. And by taking away guns from good people, will not help peace, just leave guns in the hands of the bad ones. Anyway, most women don't like guns, since they don't understand them, and in many cases, don't know how to use them either. This is something I believe in, and will never change my mind.

GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE. How about we compromise with the truth - People With Guns Kill People. Anyway, most women don't like guns, since they don't understand them, and in many cases, don't know how to use them either. It seems that Jeanne and I understand just fine what can happen when a child gains access to a loaded gun - they can hurt themselves or someone else. We don't need to like or use guns to understand what they can do.

Mike Just my opinion, but I don't see why an eight year-old needs to have access to a loaded firearm, whether he/she knows "gun safety" or not. A widespread access to firearms is an American tradition, and a really long one. It is too deeply imprinted in American lifestyle to be so easily removed. I repeat: I am just glad guns are not available in Poland so easily. Knowing me, I would get one, just for curious fun of having it. Then, God knows what might happen....

You could even keep your home safe, if anyone wanted to hurt you or your family. Any way, if someone tries, he could have a gun, there are guns in Poland. Everyone needs to know how to use a gun, and many people need to have one in the home. This is the way the west was won, other wise we would all speak American India.

And it is not just children who have accidents with guns. Even adults who are experienced with handling a gun have accidents. Are you planning to go hunting with D1ck Cheney anytime soon???

Mike I dare to say most wars and conflicts were about women.... hmmm...that's a very provocative statement! Are you sure you want to say 'most'? I'll grant you that some were, but most? I'd say the desire for power, land, wealth, and resources were mostly the motivating forces.

It is true that men have also fought for power, land, wealth and resources but all this serves one primary purpose - to get females, and in result, a chance of reproduction.

It just love to know, I have a gun, if and when I need it to keep my family and myself safe, when it takes the police a time to give service. I want to be able to hold someone at gun point until the police get there.

Warsaw police have detained a man who is suspected of shooting at city buses and trams in the capital of Poland. The 31-year-old man was interrogated in relation to damages caused to five buses and three trams. Although the attacks were conducted during rush hours, no one was injured. The man has admitted to having shot at a bus at least once last Monday.
Police found several air rifles in the suspect’s house, which he probably used to shoot public transportation vehicles. The Warsaw Police Headquarters revealed that citizens of Warsaw helped catch the “sniper”. (mg/mmj)

A man had a small arsenal at home. Most guns were his own home-made models. Bfore, drunk, he had started a row in a bar and shot a woman in the hand. Now, faces 10 years.

Gun control is having a good aim.
When the Germans or Russians come after me, I want my guns. The rest of you can try and talk your way out of a war, not me.
When they have guns, I want mine.
