Actually I always liked Murtha because he really did do a lot for the manufacturers in PA and he watched after our troops, making sure there was funds for the equipment they needed.
However, His comments of late have a lot of us wondering if he's slipping. Why would anyone running for reelection or not say his constituents were racists and rednecks? Let alone accuse our military of war crimes without having all the facts first. That's the one that really hurt me. The R & R comments were just stupid of him.

thanks grammyk. i am not all that familiar with Murtha but i know he has opposed the war and has brough up some good points about we were all mislead by the current administration.. i thought those constituent comments were a joke. wasn't sure if they actually came out of his mouth... hmmm.. that is strange but i can him being extremely frustrated by some of the DC bs and being all fed up with it.. thus blowing it wide open.. i dunno.. Mike: your next president.

regardless, OBAMA will win and that is all that matters. no more repos for the next 4 years. hehehe Don't count your chickens till the votes are all counted. "Dewey Defeats Truman" was a famously incorrect banner headline on the front page of the first edition of the Chicago Tribune on November 3, 1948. Incumbent United States President Harry S. Truman, who had been expected to lose to Republican challenger and Governor of New York Thomas E. Dewey in the 1948 presidential race, won the election. A delighted Truman was photographed at St. Louis Union Station holding a copy of his premature political obituary. Only a few hundred copies of the paper were published before the Tribune issued a second edition that backed off from proclaiming a winner. The headline is a cautionary tale for journalists about the dangers of being first to break a story without being certain of its accuracy. It is also a caution about allowing editorial preference to cloud judgment; the Tribune had been strongly against Truman throughout the campaign.

What is on the Polish news portals? The elections are well covered In the morning I heard on the radio that citizens of some armpit village voted 15 for Obama and 6 for McCaine. And the village was a traditional Republican stronghold... Now the news: www.tvn24.pl/-1,1571676,0,1,kolejki-po-horyzont--a-maszyny-sie-buntuja,wiadomosc.html Faulty technology. The electronic vote counting machines are getting out of order. A repetition of 2004??? Record turn up... Long queues.... . and many others

My state went blue too, but when I looked at the counties all the citys went for BO, the rest of us, Mac. I think I'll move to Alaska. I fit in better the more remote I am. We have to live with it now and hope for the best. 4 years from now we will know if we were right or wrong in our decision.

Yes I caught it. He is no doubt a great orator. I don't think Palin hurt him. Before Sarah he had no "spark" to start the fire. I still like her very much. BTW: Murtha is in for another term. Thats good, but I am sending him Duct Tape for his mouth........ Long night........ Let's hope we will have better years ahead.

I don't have much time, since I must get to the tanning hut, for a long visit, so I can share the wealth. I am very sorry that so many made this major mistake, with Obama, now we all will have to pay for it. If Europe loved him so much, can he go there, for them?
