See the history places, eat the great food, and watch the wonderful women, and watch more wonderful women.
P.S. And visit with family and friends.

Pheeew, we are back after an extremely active holiday in the mountains. We got very fit (as usual) wandering miles through the forest in search of mushrooms or swimming in the mountain lake (and a spa swimming pool). Despite this exercise, I probably put on weight because the food they served in the cabinsite canteen was exceptionally delicious this year. I liked everything! Soon you will see photos...
Having had a quick look through the Polish forum`s threads and posts I see that you had been having great time while I was away. I really envy you and regret not being with you during this time....
I am not sure but the weather permiting, I am going to take my two sons camping at the lake on Monday. Only for 3 days, so don`t worry. And then, the end of holidays! What a pity!

Welcome back Bonobo! It sounds as though you and your family had a great time on your vacation. Yes, we had. Busy, active, but relaxing too. And mushrooms were abundant this season. Yummy. Yes, the group is small but going well with each other. When we turn 30, it goes fast downhill and we can`t help it.

Let me also welcome you back, Bonobo! I am sure you are now well-rested and ready to resume your rigorous teaching routine! Somehow I think you are being facetious when you say that you envy us and regret not being with us! We could well say that about your being in the mountains. Anyway, it's good to have you with us again!

I feel not rested enough and unready to resume my teaching. ;D That is why we are leaving for our favourite lake today. We are coming back on Wednesday evening.

Jeanne, Does school begin next week for you (or maybe you are already at your school getting ready for the year)? This summer definitely went by fast! School for us begins the day after Labor Day (Sept. 2nd) with orientation for staff, meetings, etc. The children arrive on Sept. 3rd and we are off and running!! We are one of the few school districts in my area that still start after Labor Day, and I am extremely glad that we do! ;D I am luxuriating in this final, glorious week of vacation!! Has your son gone back yet? How well I remember those days when my girls were young and we had such preparation to do for the beginning of school! It's an exciting time...so enjoy while you can!

Both of my kids start school on Sept. 2nd. My younger son will be in kindergarten and my older son will be in third grade. They are both very excited about the new school year! They really enjoyed picking out all of their school supplies. They are a bit less excited about having to get up earlier in the morning, but so far our "practice mornings" have been going fairly well. I think it will be a bit difficult (for me) when my not-so-little one gets on that kindergarten bus, but I'm sure we'll both be fine.

Nice to hear that they are both excited about the new school year...let's hope they keep up that positive attitude for the next dozen years or so!! No doubt they will, though, as their mother sets a good example for them by being a life-long learner. Yes it can be sad the first time they climb on that bus...especially when they are the youngest...but look at the positive side: that they have successfully reached another milestone in their maturity and are becoming more independent ( ) which is, of course, our goal while raising them!

The holidays are over. Yesterday we came back from the lake side. It was so lovely. I think I was a fish in my previous life, I can spend all day in water.
When the right time comes, I will show you the photos. How about during dull winter months? We will recall sunny days then....
Now the new school year begins on Monday. It is going to be a busy one because I am in my last year of teacher promotion process and need to do a lot of paper work and such things. Besides, I am going to be a tutor for a young apprentice teacher who starts work in our school.
But I will certainly not leave you.

Warsaw calling Back home too. We have had a very nice and relaxing holiday in Italy. There were some complications but with happy end. It seems I will have to leave this Tuesday - unfortunately not for holiday purposes anymore. I read some of the forum dicussions here and in our private part and I found you really had good time! That's really nice and I am glad Bonobo's forum is lively and grows (Welcome, Peter-Pjotr). Pozdrowienia dla wszystkich!

Aaaah, I know, you had a secret meeting with this pretty Italian woman in your hotel room and your wife caught you in the act??? But she forgave you everything as usual because she knows you are an incorrigible lover, better than Casanova (who was Italian) Yes? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Yes, those guys are so mature, I am really amazed. They know how to do without daddy/mommy`s care.

Is it something about the way we think or is it something about our impressions of Bonobo?? Comparing me to carp is erroneous. Carp is a slow, fatty, sluggish, patient fish which meticulously looks for worms in the mud at the bottom of the lake. I am not like that. I prefer fast action ( but devoid of predatory instincts) and I am not such a fatso.
