Wow! hMMM, do you mean Greenland? Actually much of Greenland is warmer today than it is here! It's almost like living on Hoth (but without the Wampas). ;D

I want to thank Al Gore, with his global warming, for this very cold sub zero weather, we are having, not like anything we have had for several years. This goes to show, Al does not know what he is talking of, even with earning over a 100 million dollars, last year, for his taught.

Nancy, We're in the same state, but I'm in the very northern part. This morning at dawn it was 11 degrees BELOW zero!! A few days ago some parts of Poland had -20, -25. Nothing special here. The problem is polar bears who become too active at such temperatures. Especially partisans who reside in the forest complain about them. Rarely happen such well-behaved bears like this one below:

Did anyone read how they have recently had 8 inches of snow in the Arabian Desert? It's only the second time in recorded history that has happened. The local language does not even have a word for 'snow' in it.
Seems like the scientists who think we are heading into a mini-ice-age due to a lack of sun spots may be correct!

In 2001 I was driving through snow tunnels higher than a car but I managed to get to school to find out it was closed.

Mike really, so what's happening to the polar icecaps and all the glaciers all over the world? just because it's cold in one spot, surely does not mean there is no global warming.

Those Poles are tough! ;D Actually, distances to school here are so far that we rely 'way too much on the school buses. The safety of the buses traveling is the main concern.

My goodness! Every Monday I come to the forum I find yet another chapter of 'Bo's self-made encyclopedia' published in the board for all of us to read. But when, Bo, when? ;D And that wealth of subjects! We have szmalcownicy, we have Campo di Fiori, Grzegorz Przemyk and Jerzy Popiełuszko, and Bytnar, and so many more. Dear Teacher, this is too much for one homework, ;D In the meanTIME, I report in this subject for the idlers - the weather where I am is (well... was during the weekend)
