So is there snow on the ground in south Poland or not? If yes, where and how much? Mike Yes, a lot. All Poland has been paralysed by winter onslaught. Snow and strong winds. Planes can`t land. 0.5 million people experience blackout. The famous pier in Sopot has been damaged by stormy weather. At the seaside water is pushed back into river estuaries, causing floods. www.tvn24.pl/-1,1624017.1,0,1,pomozcie-sobie-ominac-zime,wiadomosc.html

Mazowsze report. Windy, snowy. Trees gather a lot of heavy and wet snow on the leaves. A lot of blocked roads and broken electric lines.

Oh My Goodness!!!!!
I am so glad you send all pictures of your villages.
Chicago, IL do have snow just like in Poland. Hard to drive and it is so windy and slippery. Now I have an idea about Poland.
We will be getting snow soon. Look like Denver, Co., Minnesota & Wisconsin are preparing snow too. We might soon.
I am not ready for snow.

It's all Poland, one great place, don't act like that. I love all of the USA, some part more than others, but all of it.

It is 65 here now, and a bit of wind, so I can't rake up the rest of the leafs yet, but it is to get even warmer here on Sunday, so will try than. I now have twelve bags of leafs, and will have no less left to pick up. Get back and tell how your weather is, where you are, now.

Winter takes grip in Poland 14.12.2009 08:26
Overnight snow in Poland will be followed later in the week by temperatures falling to as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures dropped below zero in almost all areas during the night and roads are slippery and driving conditions difficult.
Around 10 centimetres of fresh snow fell in the mountain resort of Zakopane. In the high mountains snow is up to half a meter thick and authorities already announced the lowest degree of avalanche risk. The maximum temperature today will range from minus 4 degrees in the Carpathians, minus 3 degrees to minus 1 degrees in the centre of the country to 1 degrees in the northwest,
But true winter will come later in the week, when temperatures will plunge minus 20 degrees in the Podhale region.

Here in Indiana, we have not yet had any snow that stayed on the ground for long, but it is starting to get colder. But today was nice, from 40-55, and that's not bad.

I turn down the heat to 64 and sleep better, than when I get up, I turn it up to 68, and when the grandchildren come over it goes to 70. Many evenings I have a fire in the fireplace, and this helps to keep the furnace down, but now I am running out of wood.

Winter has struck causing troubles on roads: My goodness sake! We had same problem last few weeks and it was very slippery out. Icy, windy and hard to see when driving. I hate that.

Mike So where do you get woods from, backyards trees or you buy them at stores. I do love Fireplace very much. I have fake one. It is good to have around Christmas holiday.

My neighbors cut it at my cousins home, and he splits it, and we share it. But since he did most of, or all of, the work, he got much more than I, but he said, let him know when I need more.
